Yatan Pal Singh Balhara is a psychiatrist and a professor of psychiatry at the NDDTC and Department of Psychiatry, AIIMS, New Delhi; Visiting Faculty, AIIMS, Rishikesh, and Global Master Trainer, The Colombo Plan. His fields of interest are mental health (including addictive disorders), policy and services, co-occurring conditions (interface of psychiatric disorders, medical disorders, addictive disorders- dual disorders), behavioral addictions (internet addiction, gaming addiction, etc.), health.
Yatan was a co-founder of the ICMH-SG and he is a member of many organizations worldwide.
